Feast of St Magdalene of Canossa

Dearest Sisters and Friends,   

As we celebrate St Magdalene this year, may I share with you a few thoughts about the “height, width, breadth and length and depth of her love for God in action!   

From the age of 18 to 33, after her failed attempts to join the Cloistered Convent, Magdalene learnt to love and serve God in the circumstances of daily life in Canossa Palace.   

She attended to the various needs of the family members, like taking charge of the family as they moved from Verona to Venice due to uncertain political situation. She also was entrusted with the care of her newly young nephew when her aunt died.​
